Let's face it - in our highspeed world we sometimes even forget to take our time for proper food. That's where BistroBox comes in. They invented a vendor for baked pizza that enables you to eat fresh, fast and healthy. Meet the team in our Startup Pick.

About us.


BistroBox develops food vendors for various tastes. One of their product is a machine that produces freshly baked pizza in 100 seconds.

Our one-line pitch is...
we are serving fresh baked pizza only at the push of a button, 24/7, 365 days a year! That is called BistroBox.

The core of our team...
Klaus Haberl (KH) – responsible for Marketing and Sales, Jürgen Traxler (JT) - responsible for Distribution and Locations, David Kieslinger (DK) - responsible for Operations

Our office in looks like...
Despite the fact that it is located in an isolated farm in Holzhausen it looks quite new inside!

The person that inspires us most...
We are admiring persons who build up a company from the very beginning and who are sustainable and successful, because we know that this is the real high art of startup! (e.g. TanteFanny, Sonnentor, Gourmetfein….)

About our journey so far.

Before we started we were...
We were studying automation engineering with the focus on business subjects aside at the FH-Wels. We worked for our idea BistroBox beside our studies and founded the company right after graduating. We were the spending a lot of time figuring out how to bake the perfect pizza within 100 seconds!

We received our initial capital through...
At the beginning we got a lot of support from the FH-Wels and we received our initial capital through tech2b and an investor. Meanwhile we are getting financial support from many other institutions and partners.

Our most difficult time so far was...
the critical period of finishing the technical development, especially the packaging system of the pizza on the one hand and finding the right places and business model for the machinse on the other hand was quite challenging (around 2012).

Our current development state is...

About little steps and big dreams.

Our next target is...
Our next big target is to launch a new and absolutely unique selling concept together with our BistroBox franchise model at the end of 2015!
