Hackers and security geeks rejoice, registration to attend DefCamp, one of the most anticipated INFOSEC events in Southeast Europe is now open. The two-day conference will take place in Bucharest on 29-30 November and will address key issues of the internet security field.
Over the past three years, this Romanian initiative has known a growing popularity, attracting a mixed crowd of hackers, cyber security specialists, IT students, researchers but also of investors and entrepreneurs. For this fourth edition, the organisers are expecting over 300 participants from Romania and neighbouring countries to grasp the opportunity to meet up and network with fellow hacking enthusiasts and industry leaders.
“We have awaited the 48 hours of DefCamp 2013 since the closing moment of the last edition. It is hypnotising to exchange ideas, to compete, to expand your knowledge and to meet people who you know only from the virtual world,” said Andrei Avădănei, founder and coordinator of the DefCamp conference in a press release.
Programme
Presentations and informal discussions will cover various topics including 0-days, PRISM, mobile security problems, social engineering, camera surveillance, application security research, lock picking and secure system administration.

Call for papers
Several international hacking figures, including keynote speakers Raoul “Nobody” Chiesa – Founder & President of The Security Brokers and Carsten Eiram, Chief Research Officer at Risk Based Security, are already confirmed.
