You are a startup from Southeast Europe involved in digital tech and looking for initial capital? Well, Christmas is early this year. LAUNCHub is indeed opening its fourth run for seed funding applications to candidates just like you.
What’s at stake?
In addition to receiving mentoring and coaching, shortlisted startups will have the opportunity to pitch their projects during a four-day event held in Sofia at the end of November. Successful teams will receive funding in exchange for equity and will be enrolled in the LAUNCHub mentor-led programme scheduled for February 2014.
“The difference with this call is that it is applicable to companies targeting larger amounts of financing. This time we will offer funding of up to 200K euros in comparison to our previous calls where investments amounted to 30K euros,” Todor Breshkov, Managing Partner at LAUNCHub, told inventures.eu.
Candidates
For this fourth batch of its programme, LAUNCHub aims to meet dedicated and really committed teams developing future disruptivetechnologies in the digital field.
The organisers strongly advise interested startups to provide complete and detailed information when filling out the questionnaire, so that they could get a better understanding of their objectives and market targeting. “We expect them to show traction and a good understanding of the markets and consumers they are addressing with their products and services,” said Breshkov. “If they already have early adopters or test-customers we would request them to present relevant feedback and metrics.”
Previous experience shows that LAUNCHub usually receives around 150 applications, the majority being from the SEE region. “The quality gets better with every subsequent run, so this time we are expecting a really good call, with promising teams and new investment opportunities,” Breshkov added.
