Autumn seems to be the season of startup-related events and programs in CEE with Pioneers Festival in Vienna, Seedcamp in Budapest, How ToWeb in Bucharest and IDCEE in Ukraine, to name but a few.
There’s another one you should put on your calendars. The Investment Ready Program is an accelerator program for social entrepreneurs from CEE that aims to advance social entrepreneurship through capacity building and catalysing investment into the sector. As such, it is one of the few accelerators specialising on social entrepreneurship.
The program, which was initiated by Social-Impact International and the HUB Vienna in autumn last year consists of two parts: In the Warm-Up, social entrepreneurs get a first-experience of the program and are introduced to the topic of impact definition, impact measurement and impact investment. The first of the one-day events, which are hosted in different cities across CEE will take place in Vienna on 30 November, applications are open for ventures until 23 November.
The best social ventures selected at the six Warm-Up events can then proceed with the Academy, a five month program offering three intensive capacity building modules, ongoing individual mentoring and coaching and high level networking events with external supporters and investors.
