Austrian teams in Microsoft accelerator
The Austrian teams firstbird and flowtap are two of eight startups to join Microsoft venture accelerator in Berlin. The teams won through 500 submissions from 65 nations and will work on their business idea within the accelerator programme for the next four months. Firstbird developed a tool that makes employees to headhunters and allows quick and inexpensive recruiting. „With firstbird we aim to turn the recruiting market upside down. […] With Microsoft ventures we’ve got the chance to grow faster and expand our distribution networks on an international level,” founderand CEO Arnim Wahls said.
The second Austrian startup is Vienna-based flowtap. The team aims to provide business data for outside sales persons by combining mobile technology and machine learning. Microsoft ventures offers free offices at their location in Berlin, provides technical support and gives the teams access to an international network of founders, investors and mentors.
