CicerOOs s.r.l. , headquartered in Ugento (Lecce, Italy) and Povo (Trento, Italy), is a startup active in technology research and innovation aimed at maximizin the value of touristic destinations worldwide. In particular, the company focuses on its proprietary search engine, information retrieval and semantic web, with web & mobile applications, aimed at offering and creating value added services, integrating information and data from (but not limited to) institutional source on the web. The project is born in Silicon Valley, California and keep developing in Puglia – Italy thanks to the price “Principi Attivi” Bollenti Spiriti 2010 of Regione Puglia, subsequentially raisining seed investments from dPixel and Principia SGR which manages the fund High Tech per il Sud promoted by DIT (Dipartimento per l’innovazione e le tecnologie della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri); CicerOOs goes on to win TechPeaks 2013, an accelerator program for technological excellence in Trentino where it opens a second operating office. CicerOOs clients include FIAT S.p.a., which applied CicerOOs semantic technology for an Europe-wise project in 14 languages to enable the discovery of touristic locations. The company has furthermore presented a research project to MIUR on tourism and semantic technologies in collaboration with University of Naples , also supported by University of Rome.
