DigitalK to take place 29-30 May
Summer is around the corner and the Bulgarian capital is getting ready to welcome technology hotshots and enthusiasts from Southeast Europe (SEE) and beyond. On 29 and 30 May, Sofia will be hosting the fourth edition of DigitalK, a tech event by Capital Media – owned by Bulgarian publisher Economedia, and co-organised by seed fund LAUNCHub, and venture capital firm NEVEQ.
“We believe that the contacts and expertise of DigitalK’s partners complement each other very well [this year],” Gergana Nikolova, event manager at Capital Media, told inventures.eu.
This year, some of DigitalK’s main goals are to provoke debate and bring new ideas to life. “[The conference’s] mission is to gather successful and visionary entrepreneurs that can give the audience the brain juice they need to come up with great, brave ideas and strategies to convert them into reality,” she said. The team wants to establish DigitalK as a social platform and put Sofia on the startup map as a “regional hub and a centre of the new vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem”.
Workshops, networking, and more
The agenda for the two conference days consists of “inspirational content, several workshops, networking events and a Mini Seedcamp, all planned to create a practical, inspirational and connecting event”, said Nikolova.
Over 25 international speakers will participate, alongside investors, startup success story reps and entrepreneurs the likes of Jambu Palaniappan (Head of Europe, Middle East, Africa and India Expansion at Uber), Chris Chabot (Head of International Developer Relations at Twitter) and Stefan Glänzer (Founding partner at Passion Capital. The organisers expect more than 900 attendees: startup founders, business leaders, press and speakers.
