EGO
“IN THE BEGINNING THERE WAS THE DOWNHILL
… but along with it the question: How to get up there?
Your heavy downhill/freeride bike, along with your protective gear, is aimed at speed. As a result, you decide to take a chairlift, or organize a shuttle, maybe use a lighter/less equipped bike or walk up the hill.
These choices put a limit on your freedom to use your bike on your terms. During our free-rides in the Austrian Alps, we soon developed the idea of putting an “e” in front of the go to avoid making any of these restricting decisions.
The development and implementation of the EGO-Kit to market was possible because of the professional backgrounds of the six EGO-Kit founders. The six EGOs combine years of experience in the field of extreme mountain sports along with years of expertise in design and construction from the automotive industry.
