The Viennese startup erdbeerwoche has won the first Eleven Startup Pitch hosted by the Marketing Rockstars Festival this week. The company, founded and run by Annemarie Harant und Bettina Steinbrugger, specializes in sustainable womens’ hygiene products. Their prize is 30.000 euros worth of advertising in the Austrian newspaper Der Standard and its online-portal www.derstandard.at.
Above that, the winners will be able to choose from a variety of business coaching sessions. At the event, 40 startups battled for the award in 3-minute-long live pitches, presenting their business idea. The jury consisted of experts like Up to Eleven-founder Martin Pansy, investor Philipp Kinsky, Conda-director Daniel Horak and zanox-senior director Ralf Belusa.
