finderly: Internet Startup of the Year
futurezone readers have decided: finderly is their favourite Austrian internet startup 2012. The portal, which gives tailored recommendations for electronic products, won the “Start-up Award powered by Kapsch”, which is part of the “futurezone Award” against eleven competitors.
finderly was founded in early 2011 evolving from co-founder Armin Strbac’s tiring quest for the perfect netbook. The portal tries to answer to this and similar problems by way of personal product recommendations, which offer the users insights on what’s available on the market according to their own needs and wishes.
The honorary futurezone award came as a pleasant surprise, asco-founder Strbac told inventures.eu. Not only is it great publicity, but also a recognition of their efforts. “Founding a startup takes you on a roller coaster ride full of highs and lows”, Strbac explains. “The award is a great reward for our team.”
