First investment of Macedonian business angels goes to WeLrn

What started as a pitching contest in front of CEED Macedonia in November 2014, lead to WeLrn‘s first investment. The team secured money from Macedonian business angels which will help them to further develop their platform, which is expected for launch in mid October this year. The idea for WeLrn was born at the third Startup Weekend Skopje and developed into an online marketplace for teaching and learning real-world skills through short video courses. Their interactive platform is built to encourage social learning and create a highly engaging environment with the use of gamification. The main focus will be improving practical skills through 20 minute online courses held by experts.
