Founder Institute CEO Adeo Ressi to run webinar offering COVID-19 startup survival tips

This Wednesday, March 18, Adeo Ressi CEO/co-founder of global pre-seed accelerator Founder Institute will run a webinar offering tips to startup founders about how to best cope in the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic.
The economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic has hit even the world’s most powerful companies. The disruption in demand for goods has reduced manufacturing and lowered productivity. Restrictive measures all over the world have wreaked havoc on the global economy, and will ultimately drive many businesses to bankruptcy.
And while governments around the world race to put policies in place to protect their citizens, last week the World Economic Forum (WEF) launched the COVID Action Platform to mobilize a private-sector response against COVID-19. To date, 200 corporate members have signed up to the platform.
WEF’s efforts to engage the largest players are valuable, yet it is important to note that less than 1% of the global workforce is hired by Fortune 500 companies. Little advice has been available to business leaders of startups, and smaller enterprises, who have fewer resources available to them to weather out the storm.
Adeo Ressi, the co-founder and CEO of the global pre-seed accelerator, Founder Institute, believes that businesses of all sizes need to take a greater leadership role in dealing with the outbreak rather than waiting for world leaders to act.
With workplaces posing one of the largest risks for widespread infection, Ressi argues increased cooperation between startups and SMBs, will have a big impact on the fallout from the pandemic.
In response to the crisis, Founder Institute took the decision to cancel all its public events in March and is encouraging all of its portfolio startups to utilize teleconferencing tools in place of in-person interactions.
Ressi will be hosting an interactive webinar on Wednesday, March 18 at 5 pm CET, to offer advice to startup founders around the world. The discussion will primarily focus on how they can limit the long-term effects of the crisis on their companies, communities, and teams.
The session will also feature a Q&A session with Ressi, actionable advice, and knowledge-sharing from startup founders to other founders. There’ll also be learnings from the Founder Institute team’s experience guiding startups through times of hardship via 185 programs around the globe.
Anyone interested in contributing to the webinar can sign up for free via this link.
