Founders Battle to kick off on 21 October
You have this brilliant business idea but don’t know how to take it further, because you don’t have a complete team? You should read closely.
Founders Battle is “the academic challenge to start your company”, kicking off in five Austrian cities this October: Innsbruck, Linz, Salzburg, Graz, and Vienna (find the dates here).
During these workshop events, you can pitch your technology-based idea, find the missing members who complete your team, and get introduced to WhatAVenture, a tool that helps you with the further development of your business concept. Registration ends on 20 October under this link.
Although the Founders Battle is for students and researchers from all disciplines, you don’t necessarily have to be affiliated with an academic institution.
The upcoming kick-offs are only the first part of the Battle. If your idea convinces the jury, your team will get to the second phase. This includes several steps, from developing to finishing your business concept, which an expert jury will evaluate. Over a period of three months, teams will attend webinars to get feedback from mentors (find the list of speakers here) and take part in challenges to gain valuable points.
The teams with the most promising ideas will be able to pitch in front of experts and investors in the “final” battle in Vienna on 7 February. The winner of the competition will receive a 5.000-euro cash prize, mentoring by CONDA, legal services, product design and a one-year membership for Marketing or Tech Natives. Plus, the best team will get a spot in the new INiTS accelerationprogramme.
Challenge accepted? Go for it!
