Slovak Ministry of Commerce allocted a 240,000 euros budget for the upcoming year to support young innovate companies. Eligible startups can spend the money on consultancy services or use it to finance prototyping, feasibility studies or even internships abroad. This step has already met some critique because some think that the allocated sum is not sufficient and the startup support is signficantly lagging behind countries such as Israel or Estonia. Currently, the ministry in coopeartion with the Slovak Business Agency pools a group of professionals from various industries to create a database from which the startups can choose their future mentor.
