Internal conflicts and money shortage behind Goldee
A negative publicity has been recently raised around the startup Goldee. On its way towards the production of a smart lighting-control systeme the company achieved to attract attention of several investors as well as crowdfunding backers. Via their own website the company raised almost 200,000 euros in 2013 during the 23 days long campaign and promised to deliver first light controllers in the mid 2014.
However, money barely covered expenses of Goldee, which at the peak was employing between 20 to 30 people. After failed negotiations with institutional investors the company got into troubles. No payments to stakeholders, dismissal of employees and delayed launch of the product resulted in ex-developer’s sabotage and internal conflicts that officially caused the end of Goldee. The company has already stated on its webpage a deep regret to all supporters, who must consider their pre orders of Goldee’s products as a pure loss
