Kanbanize
About us

Our one-line pitch is…
Kanbanize is visual management software that boosts your productivity by applying lean principles and automation to your work. We help you design your workflow, collaborate with others and track important metrics out of the box.
The core of our team…
Our team has grown ever since the launch and we consider everyone part of the core. Our cofounders are Hristo, the CTO who created the Kanbanize Code of Honour; Bisser our CCO who tracks down all potential client leads; and Dimitar, the CEO with an Iron Maiden tribute band.
Our office in looks like…
Our office is located right in the city centre of Sofia. It is super tidy, cozy and full of fake rules that we have framed intentionally. One of them says “Don’t feed the engineers.” Our favourite thing is what we refer to as the “after 6pm reward massage chair” near the window.
The person that inspires us most…
We are generally inspired by ideas and the most effective ways to implement them. Obviously one of the ideas that motivates us is the possibility to completely change how organizations manage their work…and that would be an understatement about what we expect from Kanbanize in the next few years.
About our journey so far.
Before we started we were…
We were and still are friends. This is probably the best part of having your own company – you can share the experience with your best friends and no matter how hard and overwhelming that can be at times, it’s worth each white hair on our heads.
We received our initial capital through…
The fund Eleven as well as a private investor Christoph Rohland gave us a boost when we needed it most. It was not just funding, but also a lot of great advice and connections that have helped us a great deal so far.
Our most difficult time so far was…
We’ve been through a lot of crazy stuff, and actually, at one point we got quite desperate with our progress. Due to our stupid go-to-market strategy in the beginning, we had to cancel all forms of personal life and rest. Working 14-18 hours a day, seven days a week, three years in a row is what made Kanbanize possible, and yes, it was unbelievably hard to go through that, but things are much better now and we are all convinced that they will be even better in the future.
Our current development state is…
Scale
About little steps and big dreams.
We are always interested in discussing new opportunities about how we can expand the reach of our product and apply lean Kanban principles to new big projects.
Our next target is…
Great companies are built on top of great products. That said, we will be polishing the scenarios that we can cover and will be targeting to “kanbanize” more and larger companies. We are thinking scale and scale again.
If you say investment we say…
Bring it on. Although we are not focusing on raising capital right now, we are always interested in discussing new opportunities about how we can expand the reach of our product and apply lean Kanban principles to new big projects.
The one thing, we couldn’t go on without is…
Dedication. There are a lot of dedicated people on this planet but we are just freaks about it and that seems to be working pretty well for us.
In five years we want to be…
In terms of product, we are more than certain that Kanbanize will be a leader on the market. Speaking about the company, we will be steadily growing our workforce and revenues to hopefully become a key player on the world’s B2B scene.
