Looking for the “new new thing” in tech in Vienna
Do you enjoy mingling with founders, investors and other dreamers and doers from the startup scene over free beer? Then why not join the Pub Summit in Vienna next week, on Thursday, 7 March.
The event, co-sponsored by Web Summit and Tupalo, and co-hosted by Tupalo co-founder Michael Borras (a lot of co’s there – but hey, we want to be fair), will bring together the local scene as well asinternational experts, including Paddy Cosgrove from Web Summit and a yet-to-be-announced “special guest” for casual networking.
While not taking place at an actual pub, the “summit” held at co-working space LOFFICE, will offer free beer as well as the chance to get invited to events of the Web Summit series and f.ounders – “Davos for geeks”, according to David Bloomberg. The organisers say they are looking for the next “new new thing” in tech, so make sure you join, because who knows – this might be your chance to get spotted! After all, the Dublin Web Summit will take place later this year – coincidentally or not – at the same time (30-31 October) as Vienna’s own Pioneers Festival.
Paddy Cosgrove and Mike Borras will also speak about the Web Summit at the WKO’s eDay earlier that day during a podium discussion on the tips and tricks of international success.
Tickets to the Vienna Pub Summit are free of charge, but registration is required. Follow this link to RSVP. The event will take place in LOFFICE co-working space on 7 March and starts at 18:00. There will be free beer from 18:00-20:00 – so don’t be late!
