MiniBrake
Our one-line pitch is…
MiniBrake is a remote controlled bike brake to protect cycling kids on the road.
Introduce your team, and tell us one interesting thing about each member. We are …
Marcell Szirtes, head of sales, left Procter&Gamble for MiniBrake. He is the creative mind of the team and the main organizer of social events. In his free time he enjoys fishing.
Daniel Bognar, head of money, has received extensive training on strategy and finances through his work at PwC as a Business Consultant. His hard work contributes to the MiniBrake success and besides he enjoys a variety of team sports.
Peter Szesztay, head of product, keeps fighting the elements to deliver our product. He dedicates his time to develop MiniBrake without any compromises. He enjoys cooking as much as good food.
We received our initial capital through…
We received our first capital injection by winning the Blind Investment startup competition in Budapest. We raised our second round investment from Prosperitás, Proseed Venture Capital firm (based in Budapest).
The real pain about starting a business in Hungary is …
If you are just out of university like us, it is extremely difficult to find the right people for the right job. Furthermore, we started off our company at the time when the Hungarian startup ecosystem was still in an early phase. Therefore, we had to visit and get to know all the potential (and not so potential) players on the market.
The person that inspires us is…
We don’t have one specific person that inspires us, rather we are inspired by those moms and dads, who really need MiniBrake and who believe that this product can be a helping hand for them.
The one app/service that we couldn’t live without is…
Google. Obviously, because it is the best site to find a great bar to hang out after work.
The one thing we would save from our burning office is…
…our two plants that managed to survive the harsh conditions of being taken care of by three guys.
…to build an app as a remote controller.
The one thing that will make us quit is…
…realising that the end has come. And all the YouTube trolls were right.
Our inside joke is…
If you don’t fill out your timesheet, you won’ t get paid.
You might not believe it , but we …
…are developing a child safety product yet none of us have children – we’ re all in our early 20s.
We’ll call ourselves successful when…
…we have sold the first 10.000 pieces of MiniBrake till December 2014.
The startup we really want to see on inventures’ Startup Pick is…
Tresorit
