Omnipaste
Our one-line pitch is…
Omnipaste blurs the lines between devices even though they are running on different operating systems.
Introduce your team, and tell us one interesting thing about each member. We are…
Ciprian has a strong marketing and business background. He actively contributed to the development of the Romanian online advertising market and established the Interactive Advertising Bureau in Romania. He also owned a coworking space in Romania.
Alexandru started programming at age 11. He hacked his parents’ old stereo so he could load games on tapes. In 2010, he co-founded a small outsourcing studio, whose team built an HR application in 11 months and which is now used by all state hospitals in New Zealand, and soon Australia.
Adrian was amazed when he first watched a short clip with a demo for an augmented reality framework. It seemed like magic to him, and he was curious to see how it works. He started doing research on his own and ended up with an AR framework of his own that he presented for his Bachelor’s degree.

Our pockets 🙂
The real pain about starting a business in Romania is…
For technology startups there’s still a gap between Romania and the real startups ecosystems like London, Berlin or Silicon Valley. We lack angel investors, an entrepreneurial culture and local communities outside of Bucharest.
The person that inspires us is…
There are a lot of mentors and supporters that inspire and help us. We cannot say just one name, so we want to thank to everyone.
The one app/service that we couldn’t live without is…
Another tricky question 🙂 Nowadays we talk about ecosystems. So, it’s not about just one app. It would be pretty hard to live without our smartphones.
The one thing we would save from our burning office is…
Our co-workers, the “My first million” poster (it will come true one day!) and our laptops.
“Don’t quit your job!”
The one thing that will make us quit is…
We think that quitting is when you fail without learning any lessons.
Our inside joke is…
We are reinventing the copycat industry 🙂
You might not believe it, but…
Our story started with Alex getting fed up with cleaning temporary bookmarks and emails that he sent to himself from his smartphone to his laptop. So one day he was given the chance to do a one-minute pitch on Startup Weekend Cluj, Romania and that was the beginning. We ended up having our final presentation interrupted by cheering, and eventually won the competition with a working prototype developed over the weekend.
We’ll call ourselves successful when…
?! We already are successful because we think that we are on the right track. Anyway, we all know that an overnight success takes at least 10 years!
The startup we really want to see on inventures’ Startup Pick is…
Eventya. They are our fellows from Sibiu and roommates at Lisbon Challenge.
