The digital paywall soltuion Piano Media announced the purchase of its American competitor Press Plus, a service for media subscriptions. Details of the deal remain undisclosed.While former Wallstreet journal publisher Kelly Leach will lead the new joint company, the founders of Press Plus L. Gordon Crovitz and Stephen Brill plan to stay only for a short period as advisers.
Leach aims to attract more clients from US, Asia and Latin America in the future. At the moment Piano Media provides their paywall service for 27 publishers in New York, Spain, Great Britain, among others.
