Romanian startup MyProjekts accuses Cosmote of stealing their startup idea

Romanian startup MyProjekts presented their startup concept to the third biggest Romanian telecom operator more than a year ago looking for a partnership. Eventures, the company that developed MyProjekts continued to work on the idea and launched a public beta a couple of months ago, said Razvan Vasilescu, one of the co-founders.

Meanwhile Cosmote launched their own version called Hai! 2 weeks ago as part of their re-branding campaign. Vasilescu contacted Cosmote about the issue and the telecom operator is claiming that they have purchased the app from an external supplier but the will analyze the situation. Even though the idea is not at all original, it remains to be seen if Cosmote was insipred by MyProjekts presentation more that a year ago.
