Slovene startups received 60M dollars in 2014

According to the infographic report for 2014 freshly released by the community of entrepreneurs Silicon Gardens, Slovenian founders have raised 60 million dollars last year. This is nearly half of the investments received since 2006 which is about 130 million dollars in total. Popular hits such as Slovenian-American Layer (14M dollars), Bitstamp (10M dollars), Slovenian-Croatian BellaBeat (7.5M dollars) and CubeSensors (1M dollars) are among Slovenia’s top eight most successful companies in 2014. The local startup ecosystem is particularly thriving in web service (46.7%) and hardware (40%) industries, with a focus on health and media and mobility sectors.
