Social Good Summit 2014 in Skopje
For the first time Skopje will host the Social Good Summit, organised by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Population Fund of the United Nations, in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Ministry of Information Society and the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FINKI).
Official speakers at Skopje Social Good Summit will be current representative of UNDP Louisa Vinton as well as the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Deputy Minister of Information Society Dime Spasov, Martha Arsovska-Tomovska, Dean of FINKI, Mr. Dimitar Trajanov, and two public figures with prominent contribution to the development of new media, Mr. Saso Macanovski Trendo (Off.net) and Bogdan Ilievski (“Batmen Velit”).
With the organisation of this event, Macedonia will become part of a network of leaders who will organize Social Good Summit Meetups, this year titled “#2030NOW”. Like Skopje, more than 60 cities will host discussions on this powerful topic associated with the ambitious agenda for global change in the next fifteen years. The main summit will be held in New York and as a guests there will appear Pharrell, Melinda Gates, Natasha Bedingfield, Lily Cole, Pete Keshmore and many other distinguished professionals and public figures.
