Startit FEST to take place on 15-19 May
Are you ready to meet local startups, entrepreneurs, VCs, speakers and media in the capital of Serbia? Then mark the date, 15-19 May, because Startit FEST is soon to take the stage in Belgrade and build the bridge between the SEE scene and key European players.
“We aim to share the energy that the Serbian startup scene has to offer and engage others in it,” Zoja Kukic, part of the organising team at Startit FEST, told inventures.eu. Organised by SEE ICT, an organisation committed to developing the startup ecosystem in the region, the event is bringing some big players in the game
London-based accelerator Seedcamp will host a Mini Seedcamp for half a day, where the local winners will be invited to participate in Seedcamp Week London, taking place in September. Applications close on 5 May so if you are an ambitious founder and plan to work towards success, apply here.
Alongside Startup Standup, Pioneers Unplugged, the new edition of Start Trek and a second Social Change Hackathon, a plethora of entrepreneurs such as Branko Milutinovic from Nordeus, Sinisa Komlenic from Themes Kingdom and Bane Seslija from Deploy Inc. will be attending the event.
Pitches, lectures, workshops, networking sessions and panels are some of the activities the expected 5.000+ visitors can choose from while at the White Palace. And parties, too! This way, attendees can experience a bit of both worlds: startup talk during the day, and quite some nightlife after dark.
Excluding premium events, entrance to Startit FEST will be free of charge. “We want to attract the wider audience in Serbia, provide an opportunity for networking, learning and having fun and use the Festival to engage them more in a startup way of thinking,” said Kukic. Make sure to register here.
