Startup Cities Symposium: fertile ground for startup economy
Delivering and discussing possible answers to that question is the goal of the second annual Startup Cities Symposium, on 11 June in the Museumsquartier in Vienna. The symposium is organised by the Vienna Business Agency.
At the conference, a number of international experts on startup ecosystems will discuss how to attract and support new talent in their ventures.
Who should attend?

Anyone who is professionally interested in the startup economy will gather valuable insights of international experts like Paolo Privitera (Pick1), Sebastian Schäfer (Goethe Unibator) or Aaron Cohen (Director Fueled Ventures, New York), just to name a few. You can still register here.
Attracting the right kind of talent-mix and supporting that talent with a working infrastructure like innovation centres, incubators, accelerators or co-working spaces seem to be key-factors for cities that want to be startup hotspots. Another factor is creating diversity by attracting foreign talent in particular. „Our goal is to provide opportunities for exchanging ideas and experiences on an international level. We want to find answers to questions that arise in many cities: how can a startup ecosystem develop further, how can it be positioned internationally and how can we attract talents?,“ said Gerhard Hirczi, CEO of Vienna Business Agency.
The Startup Cities Symposium is an annual gathering of startup ecosystem experts from all over the world to discuss global trends, exchange insights and draw parallels regarding the startup ecosystems of different regions. The experts will present their views in the form of speeches and engage in panel discussions.
