Comet Competition, an initiative led by technology organization Ingram Micro, is back for its second year. B2B entrepreneurs from over a dozen countries, including those from Europe, have been invited to compete for a total of $5,000,000 in funding.
The competition, which require no exchange or equity or repayment, got started in August and ends this October 31st. It is led by Ingram Micro Cloud and Microsoft for Startups.
Said Michael Kenney, “Our goal at Ingram Micro Cloud is to help identify and bring to market the best technology “in the industry.”
“It’s especially exciting to advise global startups at the beginning of their journeys and watch them achieve significant business milestones faster and more broadly than they ever anticipated.”
The Comet Competition’s 16 host countries are spread out across five continents, providing innovators in Europe and emerging markets the opportunity to bring new innovations to market.
Last year’s overall winner, Pixm, is the world’s first on-device phishing prevention at the point of a click.
“The year after winning the competition has been a total blessing,” Pixm Co-Founder Arun Buduri said.
“Between getting our team of three in front of thousands of potential customers while bringing our customer acquisition cost down to nearly zero, we couldn’t have asked for a better partner than Ingram Micro. I like to say Comet was ‘nuclear fuel’ for our business.”
