If you’re Austrian and have a startup that needs a private investor, the Austrian Investors’ Network innet. might have exactly the thing for you – the innet. cup 2013. The competition is looking for entrepreneurial teams with a developed business plan, and high innovation and growth potential. Be quick – the deadline for submissions is 6 May.
Startups are invited to apply with their business plan – you can do so here, which will be followed by an evaluation of their potential in two main steps. On 15 May, a panel of expert judges will review the submissions for the first time, and will choose the teams with the highest chance for equity financing. The second step of the process, scheduled for 24 May, will require the selectees to present their projects to the jury. The best six among them will be invited to pitch in front of investors from Tyrol, Bavaria, Switzerland, South Tyrol, and Vienna during the Start-Up Day on June 6. The latter is co-organised by CAST and aws.
innet. cup 2013 is an initiative of innet., and goes by the motto “Bringing ideas and money together.” innet., in turn, is a brand of the Center for Academic Spin-Offs Tyrol (CAST). The goal of the initiative is to establish the connections between up-and-coming Austrian, and in particular Tyrolean startups and private investors, who can provide them with the financial resources in order to grow.
