We volunteered for a long time, investing our own money to turn our idea into a reality. Later, once the first Strawberry Tree was installed, it was the starting point to what is now Strawberry energy.
The real pain about starting a business in Serbia is…
Everything. It is actually pretty rare and unusual here to see young people striving to make something out of nothing all by themselves. There is a lack of tax exemptions and politics that encourage development of innovative businesses like ours. Consequently, there is a lack of investors, too. Also, it still kind of an adventure to develop and make progress in renewables, but we have strong will, trust and readiness for challenges.

Google Drive. It enables us to be effective, efficient and keeps all our important documents online so we can approach them anytime and anywhere.
The one thing we would save from our burning office is…
The award from European Commission at the European Union – Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2011, when we won the first place in the Consuming category. It is a sort of a confirmation to us that we are heading in the right direction and that people like it 🙂
