Once again, we’re bringing you some Silicon Valley–related news. We have introduced you to the Go Silicon Valley initiative and to the upcoming kick-off event of the Austrian Innovation Center Silicon Valley, so now’s the time to expand the list by adding another programme to it: the Startup Funding EuroTOUR Prague.
What’s it about?
The Startup Funding EuroTOUR Prague is a two-day intensive training (February 26-27) currently accepting applications from CEE entrepreneurs. The programme will include an overview of how to do business and raise revenue in Silicon Valley, how to develop the perfect pitch before meeting potential investors, and how to deliver it. The event will offer participants one-on-one and small-group coaching sessions.
Out of all applicants, 12 will be selected to take part and eventually present their project to five or more Silicon Valley investors. The presentation will be held in a video conference. The three best projects will receive prizes, among which are four hours of personal coaching, an opportunity to present their concept to Silicon Valley investors in person, and a free two-month stay in Silicon Valley or San Francisco.
Who’s behind it?
The event is co-organised by the U.S. Market Access Center, a non-profit organisation based in Silicon Valley with the goal is to help up-and-coming foreign companies do business in the U.S., and the Czech ICT Alliance, founded in 2005 with the aim to promote trade.
Who may apply?
The Startup Funding EuroTOUR Prague is looking for projects or companies that have already made revenue and/or have a large user base. The products need to be technology-oriented and have the potential to develop and grow internationally. Good knowledge of English is a prerequisite.
Register by submitting your application here. The deadline is February 18.
