Looking to mingle with the European tech folk next month? You can get to do that, and visit one of Poland’s historic cities at the eighth edition of InfoShare IT and New Media Conference. Right before the beginning of the summer, the two days of 22-23 May are reserved for tech leaders, entrepreneurs and investors to discuss the latest trends in IT, new media and startups, and meet like-minded people.
Previous editions of the conference have focused on new technologies, online and social media, founding and funding, and project and team management. For this edition, the organisers have decided to diversify the event and have partnered with Gdansk incubator STARTER to create the StartupZone. “Part of the conference is dedicated only to startups and VCs,” said Marcin Pokojski, CEO of infoShare Conference. “During those two days there will be a startups contest, fair trade, and a Startup & VC Speed Dating.” For early-stage companies, this would also mean possible international customers and partnerships, and business opportunities.
Among the speakers, mentors, jury, and over an estimated 2.500 attendees, the Startup Zone will find Ali Jaffari -VP direct sales of Europe at Twitter, Peter Halacsy – CTO and co-founder at Prezi and Luke Mansfield – head of innovation at Samsung Electronics. Speakers include 22-year-old Kamil Adamczyk – founder and CEO of Intelclinic, Mike Bradshaw – sensei at AppCampus, Robin Fisher – regional VP of Salesforce.com and other Polish entrepreneurs.
Popular for its soccer games and major concerts, the PGE Arena will be the hotspot for networking and mingling while next door at AmberExpo, the conference and Gala will take place.
What’s more, this event is completely free of charge! Yes, you heard that right. It is part of InfoShare’s mission to offer the basic participation for no fee whatsoever.
