Two Austrian startup shows to air today
Under the name “2 Minuten 2 Millionen” youngstartups get the chance to pitch their project on TV. Today, the second season of the Austrian version of “Dragon’s Den” airs on the channel Puls 4. Participants get valuable feedback and can receive investments up to one million euros from the well known jury right away. Moreover, the in-house SevenVentures venture group also offers to invest one million euors in the projects as advertising budget on ProSieben Sat.1 and Puls4 group. The jury features Marie-Helene Ametsreiter, who represents SpeedInvest, Hans Peter Haselsteiner, CEO of Strabag, vine-grower Leo Hillinger, cereals manufacturer Heinrich Prokop and business angel Michael Altrichter who will evaluate the projects on stage.
While the first season, which aired end of 2013, was mostly focused on internet and apps, the second seasons is more about such products as cardboard furniture, sustainable fashion, online-shops for party decoration or solutions in medtech.
Following “2 Minuten 2 Millionen” also the new format „Querdenker“ will be introduced today. The show is a competition for creative thinkers and young inventors to learn from mentors how to make their idea a business.
