VapourApps wins Pirates on Shore in Skopje
The winner of the PiratesOnShore pitching competition got tickets and support for the Pirate Summit! VapourApps is a startup that aims to help creating your own corporate Dropbox: storage, sharing, integration, collaboration and much more. On the past Friday, the Pirates on Shore tour brought the spirit of the Pirate Summit to Skopje. Three Macedonian startups had three minutes for their pitch and Q&A session with the speakers/jury. Next to the winners also DoxOut – a breakthrough cross-platform development technology that enables sharing of 90% of the code base across platforms – and TakeAnAdd that will try to simplify the social media aspect for SMEs by “creating beautiful facebooks on the go” got the chance to pitch and receive valuable feedback.
While Aleksander Tasev (SuperFounders) opened the event and explained their pre-accelerator programme, Till Ohrmann (Co-Founder & CEO of European Pirate Summit) presented what the Pirate Summit is all about. Participants also had the opportunity to learn what Hub:raum Krakow offers its members from Luka Sucic and later Stephane Gantchev (Launchub) took over for a fireside chat. Skopje was one of the 50 cities all across Europe and the Middle East that the Pirates on Shore tour is visiting.
