Wohnwagon, the Austrian startup that designs and produces self-sufficient living spaces on wheels, received a research grant from the FFG to develop an elaborate water circulation system which uses rooftop plants for water filtration and collection. This grant will allow the company to accelerate the optimisation of its product.
Wohnwagon’s mobile homes are equipped with a photovoltaic system, bio-toilet and a complex water treatment plant. In order to integrate this complex system into the self sufficient houses on wheels, the company has partnered with the alchema nova research institute. Those eager to see latest Wohnwagons can do so in Vienna on 10 of October at the “Gründen in Wien” event organised by CONDA.at.
